Morrisonville Mrs. Concetta A. "Nana" Brideau 83, of Twin Birch Lane, Morrisonville, New York, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Tarrytown, New York, on August 2, 1927, the daughter of Vincent and Mary (Rizzi) Nicolais. While living in Tarrytown, she was employed by Sonotone and worked for her nephew Dr. Vincent Nicolais. Nana enjoyed shopping and giving gifts to people; cooking, especially Italian; going to garage sales and most importantly, spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. James Church in Cadyville. Nana was predeceased by her parents, her sister Angelina Fanelli and her husband Louis, a sister Lucy Kelly, a brother Jack Nicolais, a sister Marianna Hurley and her husband Martin, a brother Dan Nicolais and his wife Dannie Mae. She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Allan J. Brideau, Sr. of Morrisonville, a son Charles J. Brideau and his wife Jane of Coppell, Texas, and their children Katy, Emily and James, a daughter Celia M. Mischler and her husband Scott Mischler, DVM of Morrisonville, and their children Gregory and his wife Michelle, Stephen and Patrick, a son Allan J. Brideau, Jr. and his wife Martha of Fishkill, New York, and their children Tiffany DiCarlo and her husband Dominic DiCarlo and Kiersten Miller, three great grandchildren, Arthur Mischler, Vanessa DiCarlo and Dominic DiCarlo, Jr., a sister Nancy DiSalvo and her husband Tony of Falls Church, VA, a brother-in-law Robert Kelly of Tarrytown, a sister-in-law Ann Nicolais of White Plains, several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors also survive her. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row, Cadyville, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church in Cadyville with Msgr. Lawrence Deno presiding. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery. Friends wishing, may make donations in her memory to the Christmas Bureau, as Nana loved giving presents to children.
