Saranac
Constance B. Drollette "Connie" 75, of Saranac, NY passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 17, 2021 with her family by her side.
Connie was born in Malone, NY on September 14, 1946 daughter of Carmen and Pauline (Lamica) Allen.
Connie moved to the Saranac area in her early teenage years. She made friends with the "Drollette girls" and married their brother Howard on June 1st, 1963.
After having her children, Connie graduated from OLVA medical secretarial school in 1985, but decided she wanted more. She then graduated from the BOCES LPN program in 1986. She worked at multiple facilities over her career, but the last 10 years were spent at the office of Dr. Viquar Qudsi. Her patients and coworkers praised her nursing skills and fun, loving heart. She happily retired 2 years ago.
Connie enjoyed painting, going to bingo, her monthly lunch dates with her good friend Gloria, and her daily rides to Stewart's for her iced coffee where they fondly named her "the lady in the pink hat".
She would always say "once a nurse, always a nurse", but her favorite role was being a mother and grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scott (Andrea Lamora), Amy (Mike) LaVigne, James (Angel), and Kelly (Chad) Laundry. Grandchildren Jacki, Scott Jr. Bradley, Roland, Shane, Allison, Erin, Austin, Justine, Dillon, Dawson, Emily, Jared, and Elijah. Great grandchildren Rylan, Myli, Liam, Mason, Owen, Odin and Harper. Brothers, George (Edna), Tony (Dar), Jack (Trudy), Lou, Timothy, and Lance.
Connie was predeceased by Howard, son Howard Jr. (Jay), sister Jill Allen Taylor, and brother Marty Lamica.
