Constance "Connie" Johnson

Constance "Connie" A. Johnson, 74, of Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Washington D.C. on May 20, 1937, the daughter of Hampton and Sophie (Williams) Peed. Connie was the bookkeeper for her family's business for over thirty years and later worked for the ARC in the day treatment center. She was a member of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh and the Peru Nutrition Center. She was predeceased by a son Daryl Johnson and two brothers; Hampton Peed, Jr. and Richard Peed. Connie is survived by four children; James Johnson, Jr. and his wife Annamarie of Charleston, SC, Steven Johnson and his wife Tammy of Keeseville, Carolyn LaValley and her husband James and Susan Burnell and her companion Dale Beaudet all of Plattsburgh, a daughter in law ; Kim Johnson of Plattsburgh and her two sons; Nicholas and Tucker, ten grandchildren; Leahan, Jason, James, Christy, Daryl, David, Michael, Michelle, Meaghan and Ashley, three great grandchildren; Riley, Danny and Brayden, two sisters; Jacqueline Kelley and Cleo Mozingo and her husband James and a sister-in-law Shirley Peed all of Maryland, several nieces and nephews also survive her. At Connie's request there will be no public calling hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
