Cynthia A. Obert

Cynthia Obert, 65, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on August 27th, 2023, in her childhood home . She was born in Plattsburgh on August 27th 1958 to Pauline and Joseph Obert, as a true Plattsburgh native she went on to earn her diploma, graduating from Plattsburgh High School. Cindy enjoyed reading, cooking, fishing, listening to old country music, taking long rides in the country, cuddling her little dogs, watching soap operas, Dr. Phil and Little House on the Prairie with her mother, and spending time with her life partner Ricky, daughter Paula, grandchildren Avery and Caden, and niece Zoey, all whom she loved more than anything in the world. Cynthia is survived by her mother Pauline Obert, life partner Richard Criss, one child, her daughter Paula Schneider, and her husband Jeremy Schneider, and their two children Avery and Caden Schneider who were the loves of her life. Her surviving siblings include her sister Carol Nephew and her husband Rick Nephew, brother David Obert and his wife Cheryl, and brother Joseph Obert, as well as one niece, many nephews, cousins, and friends. Cynthia was predeceased by her father Joseph Obert and her brother Donni Obert. There will be a graveside for Cindy, arranged by family, at a later date. At that time all will be welcome to come say goodbye. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
