Daniel W. “Dan” Burke, 69, of Plattsburgh passed away, Friday, October 8, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side, under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, on October 5, 1952, the son of Mason and Mildred (Mitchell) Burke.
Dan was an avid sports fan, especially rooting for the St. Louis Rams and Detroit Tigers. He was an animal lover, especially for his dogs, Sissy and Buddy. He drove truck for over 40 years until his retirement in 2013, a life he was proud of and even how many miles he drove in his career.
He is survived by his wife Connie and her family, his brother John Burke and his wife Kathy of North Carolina, his sister Marie Corron and her husband Paul of Beekmantown, and his sister Lea Pruitt and her husband Ron of Florida, his aunt Theresa Defayette, his best friend Roger Forgette, his beloved dogs and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by parents, his brothers Thomas, Michael, and Patrick Burke.
Graveside services will be Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00am in Saranac Independence Cemetery.
