Daniel B. Lapointe, Sr.

Daniel "Danny" B. LaPointe, Sr., 83, of Ratta Road, Chazy, NY, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on March 1, 1941, the son of David and Irene (Poissant) LaPointe. Dan worked as a mechanic for Anchor Motor Freight in Champlain, NY for 22 years. After retiring he purchased his own semi-truck and began driving truck until he fully retired. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and tinkering around his house. His world was visiting with his grandchildren. Dan was predeceased by his parents, his wife Sandra and his siblings; Donald, Ronald and David LaPointe. He is survived by his children; Bruce (Stacey) LaPointe of Plattsburgh, Tim (Gena) LaPointe of Chazy, Darren (Jenn) LaPointe of West Chazy, Tori (Chadd Devins) LaPointe of Chazy, five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and two sisters, Lillian Reynolds and Carol (Bruce) Dragoon. Calling hours will be Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will beheld on Friday October, 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at Ingraham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
