Daniel R. "Danny" MacCallum, 64, of Rouses Point, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 19, 2024. He was born Wednesday, November 18, 1959, the son of Neal and Marian (Bohon) MacCallum. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing, trapping and a strong supporter of the Rouses Point Sportsmen's Club. He had a love for sports, watching the Red Sox, Canadiens, NY Jets or travelling to watch his son play hockey. "Chewbacca" worked for the Village of Rouses Point; retiring after 30 years of service as a High-Voltage Electrician. He was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion #912 and proud of his father's service in WWII. He is survived by his son, Nathan MacCallum, his siblings; Patricia "Patty" MacMonigal and her husband Larry, Neal MacCallum and his partner Cyndy Nichols, Melissa Baker, Mary Passno and her husband Steven, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law, Deborah (Poole) MacCallum, brother-in-law, Francis "Bumper" Baker, his best friend Richard "Dickie" Jarvis, and his beloved lab, Checkers. Graveside services will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Rouses Point at noon on Saturday, November 2, 2024. A Celebration of Life to follow at 1PM at the American Legion Post 912 in Rouses Point. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
