Plattsburgh Daniel J. Riley, 75, of Glen Drive, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Sunday November 6, 2016 at his home with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in South Boston, MA on July 15, 1941 the son of Daniel and Beatrice (Friel) Riley. Dan graduated from Salem State Teachers College and later received his Master's Degree from Plattsburgh State. He worked for CEWW-BOCES in Plattsburgh as the Health Safety Risk Management Specialist. Dan enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching the Boston Red Sox. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Robert Riley. Dan is survived by his wife of 33 years Elizabeth Riley of Plattsburgh, their son; Kevin Riley and his wife Jacqueline of Morrisonville, his grandchildren; Noah and Benjamin Riley, a brother Joseph Riley and his wife Diane of Athens, GA, a niece Kate Riley, his brothers-in-law; Philip Malboeuf and his wife Therese of Ware, MA, their daughter Kristin Oldham and her husband Kent and their daughter Lexi and Richard Malboeuf of Harvard, IL, several cousins also survive him. At Dan's request there will be no services, burial will be at a later date in Ware, MA. Donations in Dan's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
