Darren M. Knapp

Darren M. Knapp, 57, of Morrisonville, NY passed away unexpectedly Friday December 20,2024 at his home. He was born December 12, 1967, the son of Patricia (Watkins) and Kenneth Knapp. Darren graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 1987 and went on to serve his country in the US Army from 1987 to 1991 and finished his military career in the National Guard from 1991 to 2000. Darren enjoyed playing his guitar, playing darts, playing horseshoes, watching football and spending time with family and friends. Darren was a vital part of every team he joined, but he ended his career part of the Camoplast team. Darren is survived by his son, Dyllon Knapp of Georgia, Exwife and best friend Annmarie Knapp of Plattsburgh, Step daughter Kera (Cappello) and Simon Makosa of Georgia, grandsons Lucas Mcdonald and Liam Cappello, Mother Patricia Knapp of California, sister Dale (Watkins) and Christopher Fry of Arizona, sister Marie Mills of Cincinnati, Brother Shane Knapp of California and sister Annie Bradley and partner Alby Hyett of New Zealand and many honorary family and many uncles, aunts and nieces and nephews. Darren was predeceased by his father Kenneth Knapp. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 309 710 State Route 22B Peru, NY 12972 on January 31, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm where the family will accept friends of Darren's who would like to share a story or a memory with his family. All are welcome. A big get together is just what Darren would have loved. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
