David R Burgess

David Burgess 62, of Mohican Lane, Plattsburgh passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Albany Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

He was a recipient of a Heart Transplant at Albany Medical Center October 20, 2001 which allowed him to have an amazing extended 20 years of life with his family. Dave was a warrior and overcame many health issues including a leg amputation and continued on enjoying life. He graduated from Saranac Central School and was employed at Mold Rite Plastics for several years. He also worked at Schonbek and Crossmark at Sams Club.

Dave loved hunting and hanging out with the guys at hunting camp, car racing, football and woodworking in his shop. Dave loved his family and was a loving and devoted husband, step father and Papa.

He was predeceased by his father Richard Burgess and his mother Mary (Rabideau) Burgess. His mother-in-law Doris Geroux and father-in-law Herbert Geroux.

Dave is survived by his wife of 31 years Robin (Geroux) Burgess, his step-son Khristopher Clukey and his wife Lenora (Emily) Clukey, His granddaughter Danielle Clukey and her fiance’ Tyler Ashline, his step grandchildren Abigal, Brenden and Casey Marant, his sister Sheila Burgess and her partner Chris Jubert, His brother Keith Burgess and his wife Elizabeth (Beth) Burgess, his sister-in-law Valerie Henry and brother-in-law Patrick Henry and several nieces and nephews and his fur baby Sal.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 3, 2022 at 10:30 am at St.James Church in Cadyville, NY. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations in David’s memory may be made to his wife to help with funeral expenses, in care of Brown’s Funeral Home.
