David Manuel Medeiros

David Manuel "Manny" Medeiros (March 16, 1953-July 2, 2018) 65 Saranac son of Emily R. Medeiros and the late Joseph L. Medeiros passed away after a long struggle with cancer. Manny is survived by his daughter Selia Rose Medeiros, grandsons Ethan, Jonah, Zane and brothers and sisters Edward, James, Patricia, Jane and George. Manny was a "Cum Laude" graduate of Plattsburgh state university and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp, graduating boot camp first in his class with the Leatherneck award. He left the Marine Corp Honorably discharged after rising to the rank of sergeant for a career traveling the world as a set carpenter and stage manager for some of the biggest acts in show business and the music world. Manny's intelligence, generosity, work ethic and deep love of animals were well known to those who came to know him. He made an impact on the lives of everyone who walked into his. He will be remembered for the powerful man he was, owning a gentle spirit and loving tenderness for people and nature. Always the Marine, always the warrior. Semper fi. Calling hours will be held on Thursday July 5, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Interment will follow in Saranac Independence Cemetery.
