David M Rougier

David M. Rougier, 64, of O'Neil Road, West Chazy, passed away on Thursday November 1, 2018 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on July 15, 1954 the son of Albert and Annette (Porter) Rougier. David work for Wayne LaPier's Farm in West Chazy as a young man, he then went on to work for Levy Brothers delivering throughout the North Country. David then went to work at Imperial Wallcovering for seventeen and half years. Following Imperial Wallcovering closing he began working at Bombardier in Plattsburgh for eighteen years, until his retirement. He enjoyed baking cookies, spending time outdoors, gardening, mowing his lawn, fixing things and spending time with his family. David was predeceased by his father and an aunt, Mary Rougier. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan, his children; Michelle LaValley and her husband Daniel of Ellenburg Depot, Matthew Rougier and his wife Danielle of West Chazy, six grandchildren; Chloe Eva, Kaleb, Jeremy, Charlotte Mae, Nathan and Jace Kai, his mother Annette of West Chazy, his siblings; Rick Rougier and his wife Sharon of Jacksonville, Florida, Lynn Manning of Palm Springs, California, Thomas Rougier of West Chazy, several nieces, nephews and close friends also survive him. A celebration of David's life will be held on Sunday November 4, 2018 1:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. In lieu of flowers donations in David's memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center, C/O The Foundation of CVPH.
