David J Sample

David J. Sample, Jr., 84, of Altona, NY, passed away on February 5, 2024 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY October 27th, 1939 , the son of David and Alma Sample. David grew up on Cannon Corners in Mooers Forks on the family farm. He married Sharron Trudell on October 3, 1959. David worked at many places throughout the years including Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora as a Laundry Supervisor. He was a dairy farmer and had many different jobs over the years. David was still working at Global Industries caring for Verizon and NYSEG properties. Calling hours will be held on Friday February 9, 2024 from Noon to 1:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be follow at 1:30 pm at St. Peter's Church, burial will be at at later date at St. James Cemetery in Cadyville, NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
