DaWayne R. Wetherhult, 65, of West Chazy, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at UVM-CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh NY with his family by his side. He was born June 22, 1959 in Alpena, Michigan. DaWayne was a devoted husband he is survived by his loving wife Janis (Curley) Wetherhult. He was the son of the late Dallas and Delores (Sylvester) Wetherhult. DaWayne was a mechanic, farmer, truck driver and a jack of all trades. DaWayne’s favorite pastimes were working on cars, talking on the phone, especially to Aunt Bonnie. He loved spending time with his family and friends. When it came to his kids and grandbabies, nothing could compare to the persistent love, time and spoiling that DaWayne provided. He was the type of guy who didn’t pass judgment on anybody. The love that he had for life was enough to share with everyone. He is survived by two daughters Alicia Wetherhult and Linda Dumbuya of Plattsburgh, two sons DaWayne Wetherhult II of West Chazy and Steven Wetherhult of Plattsburgh; a daughter-in-law Ashley Dezan of Chazy, his grandchildren, Mya King, Mekhi Kilfoyle, Annabellah Wetherhult, Jordyn Wetherhult, Zari Dumbuya, Zavion Dumbuya, Molli Betters and Kayleigh Hemingway. DaWayne also leaves behind two brothers Larry Wetherhult and Ricky Wetherhult both of Michigan, one brother-in-law Charles Curley III of Flordia and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Last, but not least, DaWayne left behind his beloved fur-baby Ariel. In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by his daughter Heather Wetherhult and his brother Danny Wetherhult.
