Dennis E Mccarthy

Dennis E. McCarthy, 79, of Plattsburgh NY, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on January 11, 1944, the son of James and Cecelia (Grabowski) McCarthy.

Denny in his younger years enjoyed fishing, hunting and supporting his alma mater hockey team. Denny also had a passion for cooking. You could always find Denny in the kitchen every Sunday preparing his favorite meals for his family. Denny was very dedicated to his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sandra, daughters Allyson McCarthy and Meagen McCarthy and her fiance Patrick Barriere. Affectionately known as “P” to his grandchildren Emma, Sara and Ethan Bray. Dennis is also survived by his sister Karin McCarthy, his niece Kristen McCarthy Baker and her daughter Lauren Baker.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Rescue and Welfare Services, P.O. 2341, Plattsburgh, NY, 12901. There is no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 11:00am at the Newman Center, 90 Broad St., Plattsburgh. Graveside services will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
