Diane Broderick, 69 of Dannemora, passed away at home under the care of Hospice of the North Country on January 25, 2020. She was born on December 27, 1950 the daughter of Roger and Letha Mitchell. She was a graduate of Plattsburgh State University and taught for 35 years at Saranac Central School as a history teacher. She also taught at Clinton Correctional Facility and was a substitute teacher after her retirement in the Malone School District. Shortly after her retirement, she was elected as a member of the Saranac Central School Board.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband James of 44 years; her son Mathew Broderick and his wife Laura Ann, her daughters Sarah and her husband Brian Prevallet, Katherine and her husband Matthew Wakim, and a sister Amy Deno. She also leaves her five grandchildren Ryan, Rachel, Regan, Hailey and Josephine. She was predeceased by her father Roger Mitchell and old sister Janice Myer.
Word of remembrance will be shared on Friday January 31, 2020 at 6:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, with calling hours to continue until 8:00 pm.
