Dolores C Bradley

Dolores C. Bradley, 87, of Marie Drive in Cliff Haven, passed away on Saturday August 1, 2015 at the Samuel F. Vilas Home in Plattsburgh. She was born in Kearney, N.J. on March 26, 1928 the daughter of Joseph and Caroline (Lassans) Bersey. Dolores grew up in East Newark, N.J. and graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1946 and the College of St. Elizabeth in 1950. She married Joseph Bradley on June 23, 1951 at Holy Cross Church in Harrison, N.J. Dolores began teaching Social Studies and English at several schools in the Jersey Shore Area. She went back to complete her Master's Degree in the late 1960's at Seton Hall. Joseph and Dolores traveled frequently to the North Country and in the late 1960's built a vacation home in AuSable Acres in Jay, NY. She retired from teaching in New Jersey in 1987 and officially made their home in the North Country. Dolores was a substitute teacher at Holy Name School in AuSable Forks, she was a Board Member of the North Country Association for the Visually Impaired, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, a Den Mother for Boy Scouts and a parishioner at St. John's Church. Dolores was predeceased by her husband and a son Joseph F. Bradley. She is survived by her three children; Carolyn Bradley and her spouse Mickey Medlicott of Tinton Falls, N.J., John Bradley and his wife Tracy of Plattsburgh and Patrick Bradley and his wife Joan of McLean, VA, four grandchildren; Sean, Colleen, Michael, Emma Bradley. Calling hours will be held on Friday August 7, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday August 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donations in Dolores' memory can be made to the Samuel F. Vilas Home Generator Fund or the College of St. Elizabeth Alumni Fund.
