Dolores E Williams

Plattsburgh Dolores E. Williams, 71, of Pine Street, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on January 31, 1940, the daughter of the late Charles and Orissia (Mannix) Ducharme. Dolores graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy in 1957. She married Peter Williams, Sr., at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh on September 3, 1960. Dolores worked for New York Telephone Company and later for the Plattsburgh City School District for over 30 years, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending quality time with her cat and her loving children grandchildren. Dolores was predeceased by her husband and two brothers-in-law, Richard Dougherty and Richard Williams. She is survived by three sons, Robert Williams and his wife Krys of Kasilof, AK, Peter Williams, Jr. and his wife Cathy of West Chazy and Eric Williams of Plattsburgh; four grandchildren, Vanessa, Tanner, Brendan and Hailey; two sisters, Gladys Dougherty of Peru and Susan Ennis of Bolton Landing; two sisters-in-law, Mary Campbell of Boston and Ann Horn and her husband Frances of Rochester; a special friend, Rena Reil; and her nieces and nephews, James and Joseph Dougherty, Kimberly Abare, Daniel, Dean and Susan Williams, and Julie Maher. Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 20, 2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
