Donald G Bond

Plattsburgh Mr. Donald G. Bond, 80, of Route 3, Plattsburgh passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the CVPH Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born in Ellenburg, New York on October 1, 1934 the son of Clarence and Laura (Monette) Bond. Donald served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Morrisonville and of St. Alexander's Church. He was known for volunteering his time, receiving a commemorative blessing from the Pope for his efforts. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Margaret and a daughter Teri Anne Bond. He is survived by four sons; Donald L. Bond and his wife Sheila of Plattsburgh, Michael S. Bond of Plattsburgh, Timothy A. Bond and his companion Shery of West Chazy, Patrick O. Bond and his wife Katie of Plattsburgh, two daughters; Debra L. Parker and her husband Steven of Cadyville, Marjorie S. Trim and her husband Eugene of Morrisonville, twelve grandchildren; Steven and his wife Raquel, Stefany and her husband Anson, Bryant, Meeghan, Lauren and her husband Peter, Brent, Isobel, Jordanne, Chelsey, Connor, Cydney, Keagan and Nathan, six great grandchildren; Riley, Karsen, Brody, Jacob, Nicholas, Juliana and a seventh and eighth on the way, a brother, Richard "Gary" Bond and his wife Linda, a sister Arlene Manor, and several nieces and nephews also survive him. Calling hours will be on Tuesday December 2, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church, Morrisonville. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road. Friends wishing may make donations to Ronald McDonald House, C/O Brown Funeral Home.
