Donald J King

Mr. Donald J. King, 81, of Standish Street, passed away Sunday evening, November 23, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on November 28, 1926, son of the late George and Emma (Rascoe) King. Donald was a 1944 graduate of Mount Assumption Institute and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as an electrician at Georgia Pacific and retired after 41 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church. Donald is survived by his wife of 61 years , Doris (Bouyea) King, his children and their spouses, Linda and David Richard of Plattsburgh, Steven and Mame King of Plattsburgh, Mark King of Plattsburgh, Lori and Steven Lafaive of Plattsburgh, Paul and Brenda King of Plattsburgh, a sister and brother in law- Annette and Charles Fields of Schenectady, a brother and sister in law , Robert and Geraldine King of Peru, 6 grandchildren, David Richard, Jennifer Latour, Alisen and Jonathan Lafaive, Jeremy and Sarah King, 3 great grandchildren, Taylor Richard, Anthony Marcoux King, and Caleigh Latour, several nieces and nephews. Donald was pre-deceased by his parents, a brother George King, and a grandson Alexander King. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 am from St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in the memory of Mr. Donald J.
