Donald O Latour

Plattsburgh Mr. Donald O. LaTour, 77, of Plattsburgh, New York passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Facility. He was born in Plattsburgh, New York on April 3, 1939 the son of Oscar and Rena (Soucy) LaTour. Donald enlisted in the United States Army. He returned to Plattsburgh following his service where he worked at Georgia Pacific until his retirement after over 40 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Church and the American Legion Post #20. Donald enjoyed being outside fishing in his free time. He was a passionate Elvis Presley fan, collecting Elvis memorabilia throughout his life. He will be remembered for his love for his family and playing in the the weekly family poker game. Donald is predeceased by his parents, his wife, Bernice "Kat" LaTour, and his brother, Thomas LaTour. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Emily LaTour, his extended North Carolina family, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Army. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veteran's Assistance Fund.
