Donald E ""Pete"" Macey

Mr. Donald E. "Pete" Macey, 74, of Irish Settlement Road, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on December 2, 1933, son of Lawrence and Mable (Rinn) Macey Donald was retired in 1996 from Garrand's Auto in Plattsburgh, he had worked there for Twenty Two years. He also ran his own auto body shop. Donald is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Veronica (Bishop) Macey of Plattsburgh, two sons, Mike Macey and Randy Macey, both of Plattsburgh, two sisters, Marion Downs and her husband, Dan of Plattsburgh, Audrey Dubuque and her companion, Lloyd Stampfler of Plattsburgh, a brother, Gervis Macey and his wife, Helen of Plattsburgh, two granddaughters, Jamie Cobb and her husband, Kevin of Schuyler Falls, Michelle Laidman and her husband, Holden of Cumberland Head, a great grandson, Brandon Cobb of Schuyler Falls, brother in law, Tony Garrow of Keeseville, a step son, Michael Kelly and daughter in law, Debra Kelly of Peru, along with several nieces and nephews. Donald was pre-deceased by his parents, a son, Charles Macey, a sister, Sylvia Garrow, a brother, James Macey and a great grandson, Damion Crossley. At Donald's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, South Catherine Street in Plattsburgh on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Donations in Donald's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country, 43 Durkee Street, Suite 200, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
