Donna St. Denis, 74, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away, Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at Greenville Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Saturday, July 23rd, 1949, in Hartford Connecticut, the daughter of Lawrence Rivers and Doris (Bodette) Rivers. For many years, Donna, with her husband Bruce St. Denis, operated grocery stores in the Plattsburgh area; South Catherine Street Grocery and B and D Market. Donna, for 25 years, also volunteered for STOP Domestic violence. In 1992, she was cited by the Mental Health Association for her tireless efforts in helping keep battered women and their children safe. Donna was also involved in various organizations in the Anti-Nuclear movement in the 1970s and 1980s. She is survived by her son, Justin Perry, and his husband, Donato Palumbo, of Greenville South Carolina, her Step Sons, Wayne St. Denis, Jeff (Erin) St. Denis, and Chad St. Denis, all of Plattsburgh. She is predeceased by both her parents, her husband, and her brother, Donald Bodette. Calling Hours will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY.
