Donne Spiegel

Donne Henry Spiegel, 84, of Cumberland Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh on May 15, 2023. He was born in Plattsburgh on October 30, 1938 the son of Sidney and Katherine Marie (Byrnes) Spiegel.

Donne was born deaf and at the age of 5 began attending a school for deaf children in New York City. He graduated from St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo, NY. Donne returned to New York City where he lead a success career at Citi Bank retiring after 38 years.
He returned returned to Plattsburgh five years ago to be closer to family.

Donne was predeceased his parents, a brother Sidney "Pappy" Spiegel and a brother-in-law John Huru.

He is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Huru of Plattsburgh, several nieces and nephews also survive him and a special niece Courtney Rosko.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the the family at St. Peter's Cemetery.
