Donovan J Clay (Lil Uzi), 51, of Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at the UVM
Health Network-CVPH. He was born in New Orleans, LA. on November 10, 1968, the son of
Daniel and Paulette (Edwards) Clay.
He is survived by his wife, Kellie (Patrick) Clay, his mother Paulette Clay, grandmother Virley
Edwards, daughter Brittany Whittey, step-children; Kayla Patrick, Brendan Betters, Molli
Betters, Mya King, and Kellcea Evans. Siblings; Caprice Clay, Terrence Clay-Lewis (Perry), and
Dwane Clay. Grandchildren; Baisley, Abriana, Kasen, and Collin and a host of MANY aunts,
uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Daniel Clay Jr., grandfathers Daniel Clay Sr. and Melvin
Edwards Sr., and grandmother, Lorraine (Piere) Clay.
Donovan was very well known and loved by his community. His smile was incredibly infectious
and he lit up any room he entered. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and his love for
music was endless. Regardless of the obstacles Donovan has endured throughout his lifetime,
he never lost his faith and perseverance. Donovan never placed judgement on any person and
you could always guarantee you would find a friend in him.
Due to the current pandemic, services will be private. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery
Plattsburgh, NY.
