Dora M Laporte

Plattsburgh Mrs. Dora M. LaPorte, 90, of Johnson Ave, Plattsburgh, NY passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 under the care of Hospice of the North Country with her family by her side. She was born on July 20, 1924 in Saranac, NY the daughter of Harry and Helena (Trombly) Provost. She was a member of the Our Lady of Victory Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society at the church. She loved playing cards with her friends. Dora had a love for bowling, animals and working in her garden. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Uless LaPorte. Dora is survived by her daughter Bonnie Gregware and her husband Tom of Plattsburgh, NY, a son Lonnie LaPorte and his wife Beth of Skaneateles, NY, two granddaughters, Jena Gregware of Rensselaer, NY, and Caitlyn Primiano and her husband Vincent of Jordan, NY, a grandson, Ethan LaPorte, of Skaneateles, NY, and three great-grandchildren. She loved caring for her grandchildren and great -grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her. She was the matriarch of the family. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh, NY.
