Peru Mrs. Doris P. Burdo, 82, of Bear Swamp Road in Peru, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh on July 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Gokey) Boulerice. Doris graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and owned and operated the Red Front Market and Jeannie's Dairy Bar in Peru for many years with her husband Loyal. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Michelle Gough and companion Greg Cassidy, Kimberly and Vaughn Lasell, Jeffrey and Amy Burdo, a brother and sister in law; Clifford and Jane Boulerice, her grandchildren; Nicholas Gough, Justin and Jennifer Burdo, and several nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Her husband, Loyal Burdo passed away in 1994. Her daughter Stephanie Barbour, her siblings; George Boulerice, Gladys Racine, and Yvonne Grigware also passed away earlier. In accordance with Doris' wishes, there will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.
