Doris M Bushey

Plattsburgh Doris M. Bushey, 86, of Flynn Avenue, Plattsburgh and formerly of Champlain, NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Champlain, NY on September 2, 1928, the daughter of Dexter and Violet (Papin) Dupee. Doris married on October 30, 1948 to her husband, Halsey "Al" Bushey enjoying many happy years of marriage. Before Halsey's, death the two of them owned Bushey's Upholstery. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, traveling and crocheting. She will be best remembered by those who loved her and the wonderful stories and laughter. She will be truly missed. She is predeceased by her parents and husband, Halsey in 1986, five brothers; Lester, Richad, Robert, Leon and Philip; one sister, Leona LaFountain. Doris is survived by a sister Phyllis Tyrell of Mooers, NY and a sister-in-law Marie Dupee of Champlain, NY and many nieces and nephews. There no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Whispering Maples Memorial Garden on Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.
