Doris M Rivers

Doris M. Rivers, 92, of Homestead Drive, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on October 16, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Champlain, NY on June 12, 1919 the daughter of Alex and Louise (Brassard) Bodette. Doris work for many years at the Y.M.C.A in Plattsburgh as a Day Care Provider. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and Choir. Doris was active in the Senior Citizens Council, the Plattsburgh Senior Citizens Club and volunteered in many organizations. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed reading the newspaper everyday. She was predeceased by a son Donald Bodette, a sister Florence Bodette and three brothers; Norman, Lester and Ernest Bodette. Doris is survived by a daughter, Donna St. Denis and her husband Bruce of Plattsburgh, a grandson Justin Perry, three step grandchildren; Chad Bodette, Shannon Bodette and Kimberly Bodette, several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday October 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
