Dorothy M Rock

Cadyville Mrs. Dorothy M. Rock, 88, of Rabideau Street, Cadyville and Meadowbrook Health Care Facility passed away Thursday May 1, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Ausable Forks, New York on December 13, 1919 the daughter of Mose and Anna (Bashaw) Chamberlain. Dorothy attended Ausable Forks School. She enjoyed crafts, reading and going for rides. Dorothy was a member of St. James Church where she worked for many years. She was predeceased by her parents Mose and Anna Chamberlain, her husband Gilbert Rock, a son Roland "Joe" Rock, a sister Ivis Chamberlain, her son-in-law Leo Miller, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clarence and Rose Rock, Florence Pettis and Orville Reid. Dorothy is survived by four daughters; Anna Miller of Morrisonville, Sylvia Rancourt and her husband Larry of Little Compton, Rhode Island, Joyce Lawson and her husband Larry of Fairplay, South Carolina, Linda Flynn of Morrisonville, seventeen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, one great great grandson; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Floyd Rock, Leonard and Eleanor Rock, Clifton and Beverly Rock, Chester and Virginia Rock, Noma and Marvin Carroll, Goldie Reid and Catherine Rock; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today Saturday May 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church, Cadyville. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. James Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to St. James Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 3 Park Row, Cadyville, New York.
