Dustin A. Simmons, 47, of Margaret Street, Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on Monday September 12, 2022 in Plattsburgh. He was born in Monterey, CA on March 8, 1975 the son of Alan and Kathryn (Richards) Simmons.

Dustin graduated from Beekmantown Central School where he was a standout catcher for the Eagle's baseball team. He continued his education in Electrical Technology at Clinton Community College.

His work career started as a delivery driver for Bouyea Bakery until they closed their business. He then started work at CVPH where he was an Operating Room Technician. Then he became a per diem OR Tech and traveled around the US. His favorite assignment was Anchorage, Alaska. He often spoke about returning there for visits.

Dustin loved baseball, football, and his Playstation. He was an avid Yankee fan and watched as many games as he could. His favorite football team was the Miami Dolphins.

Dustin loved his children and was very proud of them. He would often talk about them and the accomplishments in their lives.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Kenneth and Evelyn Richards, paternal grandparents Melvin and Ruby Simmons, his step father Bob Wood, and his brother Sheldin Deso.

He is survived by his mother Kathryn Wood, his father Alan and wife Tracy Simmons, Jessica Simmons, brothers Troy (Alison) Simmons, Justin Deso, Alan (Briana) Simmons, Brett Harris-Wood, Kole Wood, Kaleb Wood, sister Jasper Simmons, daughters Alexa Simmons, Bryana Simmons, Haven Simmons, Hunter Simmons, and son Jacob Simmons, nieces Bailey Simmons and Ariel Deso, Madison Simmons, nephew Benjamin Simmons, and great-nieces Averi Simmons-Gomez and Elena Simmons-Gomez.

At Dustin’s request services will be private.
