Edgar J. Bousquet, 83, of Mason Street, Morrisonville, NY, passed away on Saturday August 7, 2021 at his home with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh on December 5, 1937 the son of Lester and Lena (Fifield) Bousquet.
Ed graduated from Mount Assumption Institute. He began working for the New York State Department of Corrections in 1961. Ed served his country in United States Army from 1962 to 1964. After being honorably discharged he returned to corrections where he retired as a Lieutenant in 1993.
Ed was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time on his land, traveling and wintering in Florida with his wife. Ed was a member of the American Legion Post 1619 in West Plattsburgh.
Ed was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Alfred and Mary.
He is survived by his wife Carol Bousquet whom he married in 1964. Their children; Craig Bousquet and his wife Angela of Peru, Dena Rock and her husband David of Morrisonville and Michael Bousquet and his companion Aime Fountain of CA, eight grandchildren; Joshua, Megan, Brent, Adam, Casey, Jessica, Shawn and Corey, five great grandchildren; Connor, Ava, Levi, Aiden and Rieland his siblings Joan Rock and Philip Bousquet, several nieces and nephews survive him.
At Ed’s request services will be private and at a later date.
Donations in Ed’s memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
