West Chazy Edith I. "May" Hemingway, 95, of Military Turnpike, West Chazy, NY passed away on Saturday January 16, 2010 at her home with her family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Altona, NY on June 24, 1914 the daughter of Napoleon and Roseanne (Lucia) Bulriss. Edith was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed being at home with her family. May was predeceased by her parents, her husband Henry Hemingway, a grandson Todd LaValley, two sons in law, Harvey Averill and Richard "Dick" Adams, two sisters; Evon Deyo and Edna Rabideau and two brothers, Homer and Willard Bulriss. She is survived by three daughters; Deloris Adams of Plattsburgh, Etta LaValley of West Chazy and Norine Averill of West Chazy, three grandchildren; Tammy Morris of Plattsburgh and Robin Averill and his wife Lynn of Morrisonville and Debbie Daniels and her husband Ed of Morrisonville, four great grandchildren, Jennifer Myatt and her husband Adam, Michael Morris, Derrick Adams and Courtney Daniels, a great great granddaughter Brooklyn Daniels and a sister in law Audrey Bulriss. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday January 19, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy. Entombment will follow in Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.
