Edmund A Richard

Plattsburgh Mr. Edmund A. Richard, 94, of Johnson Avenue, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born in Winooski, Vermont on July 5, 1914 the son of Arthur and Elisabeth (Guindon) Richard. Edmund owned and operated Richard's Grocery on Johnson Avenue. He was a WWII veteran serving in the U. S. Navy. He enjoyed his tropical fish tank and his canine companion Annie. Edmund was predeceased by parents, his wife Ruth Richard in 1967 and several siblings. He is survived by a son David Richard and his wife Linda of Plattsburgh, his grandchildren David Richard and his companion Nicole Coryea of Plattsburgh, Jennifer Latour and her husband Neil of Plattsburgh, two great grandchildren Taylor Richard and Caliegh Latour, several nieces and nephews. At Edmund's request there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
