Edward E Garrand

Edward E. Garrand, 78, of Oakland Drive in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at his home with family by his side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Elizabethtown on August 26, 1943, the son of the late Ernest and Dora (Forkey) Garrand.
Ed was employed at Arpak Plastics in Plattsburgh for many years and enjoyed camping, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda (Parrott) Garrand, whom he married August 9, 1975 at St. Joseph’s Church in West Chazy, his daughter and son in law; Joy and Richard Van Weort, his siblings and their spouses; Theresa and Val Petersen, Elizabeth and Paul LaVigne, Gerald and Linda Garrand, Elaine and Noel LaValley, Leon and Ruby Garrand, Beverly Dube, Deborah Myatt, Marilyn Garrand, and Sandra and Paul Ashline, his grandchildren; Olivia Garrand Walantus and companion Jeff Garrow , Dennon Walantus and his fiancée Emily Farr, Taylor Garrand and companion Jeff Chocklette, Elijah Howard, Hannah Van Weort, his great grandchildren; Braeden, Gracelyn, Redlyn, and Paislee, his aunt Theresa Garrand, many nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companions Mikiah and Lilly..
He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Garrand, and two sisters; Joan Carter and Doris Buskey.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Reamer officiating. Memorial donations may be offered to Hospice of the North Country. The family wishes to thank the nurses of Hospice of the North Country especially Ashley for the excellent care given to Ed. The family also wishes to thank Sarah Howell for going above and beyond in caring for Ed.
