Edward Cushing Grady

Edward C. Grady, 98, died peacefully at his home in Willsboro on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, with his family by his side comforting him.
He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Watervliet, NY, son of Jennie Cushing Grady and Carlton F. Grady.
He attended Watervliet schools and served in the U.S. Navy Flight V-5 Program during World War II. He was employed by the New York State DPW/DOT for 33 years, retiring from the Materials Bureau in 1979.
This year, he and his wife, Gertrude (Robinson) Grady, celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.
He was predeceased by Gert, who died March 15, 2021; a daughter, Barbara Seholm; his parents; and two brothers, George and Robert Grady.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Roeck of Florida and her husband, Bruce; two sons, Richard Grady and his wife, Kenya, of Texas; and Bruce Grady and his wife, Burdette, of Georgia; and many grand- and great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be followed by interment in the Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands at a future date.
