Elaine Marie Deon

Elaine Marie (Dougan) Deon passed away peacefully at the Clinton County Nursing Home, in the company of her loving and devoted husband John Deon Jr. on October 6, 2019.
Elaine was born on December 5, 1959 in Dorchester, MA to the late Thomas A. Dougan, Jr. and Rosemary (Pittman) Dougan. She is survived by her loving husband, John and her four children; Elizabeth Deon Amato and her husband Richard of Braintree, MA, John T. Deon and his wife Kecia of Plattsburgh, NY, Claire Deon and her fiancée Matthew Rivers of Plattsburgh and Thomas E. Deon also of Plattsburgh. She was the beloved sister of Thomas P. Dougan of Annapolis, MD, Karen Mullen of Weymouth, MA and Mark Dougan of Braintree, MA. Elaine was the loving Nana of Alexis, Arthur and Jeremiah Deon, and Joseph and Samuel Amato. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Elaine loved to spend time with her family at the beach in Rexhame, MA and at her beautiful home in Cliff Haven. A lover of all New England sports teams, Elaine could often be found at her home watching games in the company of family and friends.
Elaine loved dancing and singing to her favorite songs and laughing, a lot. She was a long time volunteer of the Skating Club of the Adirondacks, an employee of the YMCA and Seton Academy. She was the recipient of the love, support and guidance of the staff at North Country Home Services, Third Age and Clinton County Nursing Home. Her family will be forever grateful to these organizations for the professional care they each gave to Elaine to ensure she had the best quality of life she could have. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Clinton County Nursing Home in Elaine’s name. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 4-7pm at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John’s Church in Plattsburgh.
