Eleanor Goldman

Eleanor Goldman, 88, of Lake Forest Drive, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her home with family by her side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country and Taylor’s Tender Care.
She was born in Albany, NY on November 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Avrom and Rhea (Fisher) Jacobs.
Ellie graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Smith College. After college, she was a portfolio analyst at Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith. She was a member of Temple Beth Israel, was active in the Sisterhood, and volunteered at the Kent Delord House and CVPH. She enjoyed gardening, cooking (especially with Stone Soup), reading and her book group, bridge, art, music (especially Hill and Hollow), walking, and traveling.
She is survived by three children: Susan Meyerson and her husband Howard of Cranston, RI, Alan Goldman and his wife Gail Samdperil of Old Greenwich, CT, Mark Goldman and his wife Jessica Tucker-Mohl of Davis, CA, and six grandchildren: Jacob and Daniel Meyerson, Sam and Alex Goldman, Elise and Gabriel Goldman-Mohl.
She was predeceased by her husband, the Honorable Irving Goldman, in 2012 and her sister, Carol Gross.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 10:30 am at Beth Israel Cemetery, 8 Main Mill Street in Plattsburgh.
