Plattsburgh Eleanor Lynch, 85, formerly of 49 Set Point, Plattsburgh and most recently Meadowbrook Nursing Facility passed away Wednesday May 11, 2011 at CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plains PA, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Cavalich) Magdelinski. She married the Rev. Michael A Lynch in August 1947. She was a member of Trinity Church Plattsburgh, New York. Eleanor's life work in nursing graduate in the US Army Nursing Corp at Newark New Jersey hospital. She continued her career after she married in doctor's offices, nursing homes, hospitals and for the Veterans Administration in South Orange, New Jersey and Pinellas Park Florida before returning to Northern New York following her husband's death. Locally she worked at the Clinton County Health Department and CVPH Medical Center. She is best remembered for her work at Hospice of Northern New York and her role in helping to obtain New York certification for the program. She retired in 1992. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband the Rev. Michael A. Lynch on January 17, 1984, two brothers, Joseph and Charles and two sisters Chris and Anne all of Pennsylvania. She is survived by Michael Lynch and Dianne of Morrisonville and Thomas Lynch and Rose Wells of Cumberland Head; three grandchildren, Eric, Miranda and Ryan Lynch all from Morrisonville; three brothers, Anthony, Frank, and David and five sisters, Dorothy, Bernadette, Rose, Marie and Theresa. A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 15, 2011 at Trinity Church, Trinity Place, Plattsburgh, New York at 7:00 p.m. Donations to Hospice of the North Country.
