Eleanor Mcgivney Rossell

Eleanor McGivney Rossell, 87, of Oak Street in Plattsburgh, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 26, 2012 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on April 17, 1925 the daughter of John and Mabel (Seymour) Sullivan. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Kenneth P. McGivney and second husband Charles W. Rossell. She is survived by five children; Kenneth P. McGivney and his wife Susan of Saratoga, NY, Steven K. McGivney of Plattsburgh, Penny McGivney Champagne and her husband Paul of Plattsburgh, Colin M. McGivney and his wife Cathy of Fairhope, AL and Mary Ellen Rossell Claremont and husband James of Colchester, VT, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive her. At Eleanor's request their will be no public calling hours, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Church in Plattsburgh, burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Donations in Eleanor's memory may be made to the Plattsburgh Public Library or the Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County.
