Elizabeth N. “Betty” Botten, 85, of the Butler Road passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on February 13, 1936 the daughter of Herman and Marion (Rollier) Squires.
Betty enjoyed doing genealogy and spending time with her family at camp on Chazy Lake. She was a religious coordinator for the Diocese of Ogdensburg at Beekmantown Central School and was active parishioner at St. Peter’s Church.
Betty was predeceased by her parents and a brother James Squiers.
She is survived by her husband of sixty eight years Charles Botten, two sons; Matthew Botten, Thomas (Rosemary) Botten, three daughters; Susan (Timothy) Cain, Bethany (Bob) Terry, Nancy Botten, a sister Margaret (Clark) Duquette, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church.
Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh.
