Elizabeth J. “BJ” Bousquet, a retired registered nurse, of Lake Forest Senior Living Community, Plattsburgh, entered eternal peace Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was born in Lyon Mountain on August 5, 1932, daughter of the late Clement and Marion (Denio) LaMountain.
BJ graduated from Lyon Mountain High School in 1950. In 1953, she graduated from Physicians Hospital with a degree in nursing. She married the late Alfred “Al” Bousquet May 25, 1957 at St. Bernard’s Church in Lyon Mountain. BJ worked for 20 years in the operating room at CVPH and then another 20+ years at the Clinton County Nursing Home as the nightshift supervisor. She retired from nursing in 1998. Always the nurse, she continued to care for others well after retirement. 60 years after graduation, BJ and her nursing classmates still enjoyed regular lunches together. She loved spending time with family, playing games on her iPad, socializing with friends, and eating lunch at 99 every Wednesday. BJ was a Communicant of St. James Minor Church in Cadyville.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Al Bousquet in 2013.
BJ leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter Jean Bousquet of Foxborough, MA., her son Jim Bousquet and his wife Stacey of Peru, NY, her grandchildren Nick and Elizabeth Collotta and Olivia and Adelia Bousquet, her sibling; Sheldon LaMountain and his wife Jackie of Crystal River, FL., and a niece , two brothers-in-law; Ed Bousquet and his wife Carol of Morrisonville, Phil Bousquet of Tucson, AR, several nieces and nephews.
There will be no public calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church in Cadyville. Memorial donations may be offered to the CVPH Foundation in care of Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
