Elizabeth A Carl

Elizabeth "Liz" A. Carl, 78, of Peru, NY passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at UVHN-CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born in Schuyler Falls, NY on January 25, 1937 the daughter of Walter and Wilma (Ashline) Carl. She is predeceased by her parents, a daughter Elizabeth Winser, a son Joseph Winser and a son-in-law Sid Turner. Liz graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and the Loretta Business School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Howard Johnson's and owned F&L Outdoor Center in Plattsburgh. Later Liz worked at Peru Hardware, retiring in 2007. Liz enjoyed all of her friends at Apple Valley Senior Housing. She was an avid NASCAR Fan and she thoroughly enjoyed shopping on QVC. Liz is survived by her daughters; Julia Turner-Rust and her husband Carmon of Peru, Laura Winser Irwin of Peru and Paula Winser and her friend Peter Stewart, Old Orchard Beach, ME, her grandchildren; Rebecca Turner of Burlington, VT, Mathew Turner and his wife Abbey of Peru, Collen Irwin of Peru and Andrew Rust of Germany. Calling hours will be held on Thursday June 18, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 19, 2015 at 10:00 am Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh, NY. Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery in Morrisonville, NY.
