Elizabeth A Decell

Elizabeth A. DeCell, 39, of Altona, passed away suddenly, Sunday, April 10, 2022 at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born in Burlington, VT on January 16, 1983, the daughter of James Ritchie Sr. and Linda DeCell.

Elizabeth was an amazing woman. She was a wonderful mother, aunt, daughter, cousin and friend. She always gave the greatest advice, a shoulder to cry and gave the best better hugs. She was artistic in so many ways; from decorating cakes to painting and even macramé. She made the whole room light up without even trying. Her laugh made you laugh. She spoke of the paranormal in a way one wouldn’t believe. She loved everyone’s children like her own. She was the glue that the pieces needed.

She is survived by her spouse of almost 22 years, Robert Kenyon of Altona. Her children; Ashlyn DeCell-Suarez, 21, and her companion Deonte Monette, Ayden James Kenyon, 15 and Gavin Robert Kenyon, 20, and granddaughter Aurora Monette. Her siblings and their spouses; Laura and Roger Brileya of Riverview, FL, Kim and Robert Woitkowski of Riverview, Florida, James and Janet Ritchie of Hudson, Florida, Gordon Ritchie III and companion Allie Kirk of Burlington, Vermont, Misty Ritchie of Rutland, Vermont, Alyssa Simpson of St. Petersburg, FL., and her grandparents, Francis and Marilyn Taggart of Wissacett, Maine. Along with and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who she adored deeply.

She was predeceased by her step-father, David D. Foy Sr.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. Funeral services will follow at 4:00pm in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. William Reamer presiding.
