Plattsburgh Elizabeth Drowne, 92, of Johnson Avenue, Plattsburgh, NY passed away on Wednesday July 22, 2015 at UVHN:CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Ellenburg, NY on February 26, 1923 the daughter of Daniel and Emma (Ryan) Greeno. Elizabeth was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army Medical Corp. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh and the American Legion Post 20. Elizabeth enjoyed crocheting, dancing and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Clinton Drowne in 1987, also a World War II Veteran in the 1st Special Service Force, her siblings Gloria Greeno, Madeline "Midge" Greeno, Pauline Dubuque, Mildred Moore, Cecile Greeno, Hilda Kelly, Earl Greeno, Jane Coryer, Doris Ashlie and Gerald "Sonny" Greeno. Elizabeth is survived by her children; Michael Drowne of CT, Daniel Drowne and his wife Brenda of Plattsburgh, Patricia Lynch and her husband Roy and Sharon Sparrow and her husband Chuck of Plattsburgh, nine grandchildren; Kristen Hogan, Scott Drowne, Patricia Hughes, Timothy Tice, Sean Tice, Jessica Swett, Jeremy Drowne, Matthew Drowne, Nathan Lynch, several great grandchildren, her sibling; Verna Greeno of Malone and a brother-in-law Jack Kelly also of Malone, several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Church. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone, NY. In lieu of flowers donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to Amanda's House, 22 Henry Street, Glens Falls, NY, Masses in her Memory or Mother Cabrini Shrine.
