Elizabeth A "Betty" Longe

Mrs. Elizabeth A. "Betty" Longe, 87, formerly of Leonard Ave. and Beekman Towers Plattsburgh, NY, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Meadowbrook Health Care Facility in Plattsburgh, NY. She was born on December 13, 1928 in Irona, NY the daughter of Wilfred, Jr., and Flossie (King) Guerin. Betty graduated from the Loretta Business School earning her Associate's Degree. She retired as a secretary from Rose and Kiernan. Betty enjoyed spending time at the senior center to socialize, taking walks and watching T.V. She was an avid Yankee fan and a member of the St. Peter's Church. Betty was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Joseph Longe, a daughter Frances Olson, a brother, Henry Guerin, a sister, Ellen Bilow, and a step-grandson Paul Longe, Jr. She is survived by a son, Michael Longe and his wife Maki of Las Vegas, NV a daughter Patricia Bryar and her husband Bob of Morrisonville, NY; a step-son Paul Longe, Sr. of Plattsburgh; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery.
