Plattsburgh Mrs. Elizabeth M. Mooney, 83, of South Catherine St. in Plattsburgh, passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Plattsburgh on April 18, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Cote) Champagne. Elizabeth was employed at Imperial Wallcoverings in Plattsburgh for many years. She is survived by two sons; Reginald Mooney and companion Charlene Mannix of Plattsburgh, Wayne and Margaret Mooney of Schuyler Falls: three daughters, Sandy Aycock of Plattsburgh, Penny and James Deyo of West Chazy, Jill and Ted Mungin of Philadelphia, Pa., 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, her husband Lester Mooney, a brother Clifford Champagne, and a sister Loretta Fitzpatrick passed away earlier. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from Our Lady of Victory Church in Plattsburgh. Entombment will follow at Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. Memorial donations may be offered to the Senior Citizens Council of Clinton County or to the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
