Ellen L Lavorando

West Chazy Mrs. Ellen L. Lavorando, 85, of State Route 22 in West Chazy, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at her home. She was born in Saranac Lake on June 8, 1925, the daughter of Clarence C. and Helen (Meagher) LaPan. Ellen graduated from Plattsburgh State in 1948 with a Bachelors Degree in Education and taught 2nd and 3rd grade at West Chazy Elementary School for over 25 years until her retirement. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph Lavorando, Sr. whom she married on December 27, 1948, her children Joanne Zatonski, Joseph Lavorando and his wife Mary, Suzanne Lavorando, Luanne Jahanbakhsh and her husband Azin, and Marianne Lavorando; her grandchildren, Joellen Gilleland, Mariellen Boyd and her husband Corey, Thomas Zatonski, Robert J. Lavorando, Lauren E. Lavorando, Janelle Jahanbakhsh, Keon Jahanbakhsh, Mateen Jahanbakhsh, and Dalton Kane and Marina Kane ; three great grandchildren ;several nieces and nephews ; her brother, Father Charles LaPan; a brother in law and two sisters in law, Ben and Frances Lavorando, and Marie Bova. In accordance with Ellen's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Joseph's cemetery in West Chazy.
