Emile J Garrant Jr

Emile J. Garrant Jr., 87, of Plattsburgh, NY passed away September 11, 2019 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He was born on October 30, 1931 in Plattsburgh, the son of Emile and Sarah (LaTour) Garrant.
He retired from Diamond International Paper mill after 47 years working. He enjoyed working on his garden and farming. He was known for being handy and loved to repair things.
He is predeceased by his parents and his wife Ilene, his grandson Joseph Vanweort, and sister Betty Martin.
He is survived by his children; Donna Wyman and her husband Wayne, David Garrant and his wife Sue, Sandy Vanweort and her husband Harold, Nancy Wells and her husband Stan, Carol Littles and her husband Tony, and Gary Garrant, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great- grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren, his siblings; Marion Mousseau, Gilbert Garrant and Shirley LaRose.
There will be no public calling hours. Graveside services will be at 11:00am on Friday, September 13, 2019 in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
