Plattsburgh Mrs. Emma E. Plunkett, 96, of Johnson Avenue, Plattsburgh, passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Fayston, VT on December 1, 1916 the daughter of Ephram and Cecilia (Boyer) Bedard. Emma was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory Academy. She retired from Imperial Paper Mill in 1979, after 40 years of service. Emma was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Carlton Plunkett, a daughter Joan Duquette, her brothers Alec, Hector, Leo, Ephram, Simon, Louis and David Bedard, her sisters; Yvonne Desautels, Blanch Dugal, Marion Rabideau, Betty Fowler, Rena Gusberti, Rose Bedard and Catherine Cross. She is survived by her sister, Cecil Ryan of Niagara Falls; two grandchildren; Debbie Parrott and her husband Cloyd of Plattsburgh and Kenneth Duquette and his wife Annette of West Palm Beach, Florida; three great grandchildren; Elizabeth Peterson, Abby and Samantha Duquette, several nieces and nephews also survive her. At Emma's request there will be no public calling hours. A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 1:00 at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, entombment will be at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens on the Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh.
